SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CHSL 2026 Notification for 2,536 vacancies. The recruitment is for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply online through the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. The application process will be open from 07 September 2026 to 07 October 2026.

The selection process includes two stages of Computer Based Examination (Tier 1 and Tier 2) followed by Document Verification.

Eligibility Criteria & Education Qualification

Educational Qualification: Candidates must pass Class 12 (10+2 Intermediate) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university on or before the cut-off date of 07 October 2026.
DEO posts in specific departments require Class 12 pass in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.

Minimum Age : 18 Years Maximum Age : 27 Years Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates receive 5 years, OBC candidates receive 3 years, PwBD candidates receive 10 to 15 years, and Ex-Servicemen receive 3 years after military service deduction.
Selection Process for SSC CHSL Vacancy 2026
Tier-I Examination: Computer Based Examination consisting of objective multiple-choice questions. Tier-II Examination: Computer Based Examination comprising Section-I (Maths & Reasoning), Section-II (English & General Awareness), Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test – Qualifying), and Section-IV (Skill Test/Typing Test – Qualifying). Document Verification (DV): Conducted directly by the respective User Ministries, Departments, or Organizations after the declaration of final results.
Salary / Pay Scale & Benefits
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) plus government allowances. Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) or Pay Level-5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300) depending on the department. Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100).
